04.BE AUDACIOUS

What I see ahead when I first hitched my wagon to mechanical engineering 30 years ago, only a dreamer could have foreseen many of things we take for granted. Computers was unheard; few scientists or engineers had an electronic calculater. During the past last years invention and technology have traveled faster than in all the prevoius history of man.
I am convinced that these scientific triumphs will be eclipsed by amazing things to come in the next 30 years. Today as never before a spirit of adventurous progress is pushing us toward exciting new goals, and new knowledge and new tools have drastically cut time-lag between the scientistīs concept and popular use. In speaking of the future, it would be folly not be audacious.
